Has any one transplanted a V8 engine from a 5 series into a E36 ?

Is it a cost effective move , or is it alot of work

What sort of mod's need to be done ?

Any info would be helpful

i have a guys email that did it he lives over in europe i know there is an alpina car that has one and u can buy the engine and everything to do it right from the dealer

not exactly true. You have to have alpina VINs that match the B8 E36 vins.

all you need are some exhaust parts, a wiring harness/ecu and engine brackets.
