newb question, but whats the big advantage of having elipsoids over normal stock headlights.

glass lenses are so much better than those plastic ones ,they will stay looking brand new as where the plastic ones get that hazey look after a while

and they show up on the road way better! and when its raining, the water rolls right off the glass so you can actually see compared to the shi*** stock american lights

The glass lense has very little to do with it. The real advatage is they are ellipsoidal projectors. Rather than reflecting the light, the light is aimed (projected) ahead, giving you a 30% increase in lowbeam range.
