Eibach Shocks?

Hey all,
I desperately need struts/shocks for my 325i... i was doing some research to find the best deals... i figured since i m replacing the shocks and struts, i might as well replace the springs too and lower the car a little bit...

i came across this Eibach complete kit with springs/shocks/struts from tirerack for $700...

i know the eibach springs are one of the best in the market.. but i m not too sure about the shocks and struts... i would appreciate any feedback you can give me... or suggest any other place with a better deal...
also what would it cost me to get all this installed?

the springs are good... but i havn't heard anything about their struts

I have been hearing that H & R springs, and Bilstein shocks are the way to go.

I have the H&R cup kit... and it is amazing... if you are going for a lower look and more responsive handling... if you want to keep the stock feel, go with the OEM replacements

a nice set of shocks and springs are about 1500 bucks... plus prolly 500 for install.. so about 2grand...

for oem, should be about half of that!

what bilsteins........sport?

i found this kit at shox.com...
It says Bilstein BTS kit..
Includes sport struts and shocks and 1"-1.25" lowering springs...

Is is true that Bilstein shocks/struts are lifetime warrantied... even the sport ones...
so if i pop one i can have them replaced?

again, what about this kit? i m really paranoid and want to get it but want to make sure this is a good set that would last me...

if you have even a lame set of tools you can install this yourself, don't pay for installation. just make sure you follow good directions, i think you may need to rent a spring compressor at home depot or schucks.

Ok.. i just spoke to somebody from shox and they said the the bilstein BTS kit comes with bilstein shocks/struts and Hyper Coil springs?

Anybody heard of this brand? Hyper Coil? If so, how is it?

I justed had the Eibach pro-system installed and I like it a lot - The handling improvement is huge over my weary stock setup

I had heard that Eibach Springs (pro-kit) with Bilstein HDs or Koni's was the better way to go, but I gotta tell ya, this setup is very nice. Go the Pelican parts (http://www.pelicanparts.com) BBS, and read about the suspension setups there - search on Eibach; you will find that many people use the Eibach springs, but no one posted anything about the shocks and struts.

I figured they had to be better that what I had, and its defintely true. It was also a great deal - cost me $700 for the kit, and $280 for installation; I also had the rear shock mounts replaced as well (highly recommended).

The ride right now is firmer, but still smooth. I took the car through some twisties and it was amazing how much more confident the car feels - just soaked up bumps and ireguarlities and maintained composure the whole time. I felt glued to the road. Even when I pushed it too far and started into oversteer, the car still maintained composure and felt confident - just very controlled the entire time. Very nice...

I have a feeling that the Bilstein setup will be more of the same, only better/smoother/more expensive.

If you will search for Eibach you will see that according to several knowledgeable memebers they suck. H&R for springs and Bilstien for struts, or Koni for struts if you want adjustability and the cost of a little durability.
