im thinking about buying a chip on ebay since there like 20 30 dollars so im going to take the risk just wondering what should i look for.

buying a chip on ebay? You're speaking about something like a performance dinan or JC Ecu right? I've heard good things once or twice, but mostly bad things. Not worth the 20-30 bucks if that could be going towards true chip.

it might just be a resistor, not a chip, and they are pants.. n read the small print or ask them if it is actually a chip.

Are you sure you can chip your car, I thought it needed to be reflashed using a OBD reprogrammer.

its a chip that hooks up tot he ac component i think if im not wrong and gives you an extra 10 hp

If it sounds too good to be true it generally is. No one sells a chip or a reprogrammer for cars that will produce 20 HP and goes for $20-$30. BMW tuners like DINAN or Jim Conforti (bonnevillemotorwerks) sell tings like thes for a couple of hundred dollars, so be very wary.

If you are serious about chipping yur car, got to motorwerks.com and check them out. You will not like the price but this is a reliable company run by Jim Conforti, a BMW tuner, and all specs for your car are on his site.
