E46 Steering Wheel On E36?

I hate E36 steering wheels, so i was wondeirng if it would be possible to put an E46 steering wheel on an E36? If anyone knows please help me out.

while this doesn't directly address e46 fitment on e36, this will give you an idea of the type of splicing that may be needed to make the airbag work properly:

also, you may have to do additional wiring for the phone and/or cruise control buttons.
