E46 Grills

someone rear ended me and did nothing but crack my right kidney grill. so i was just thinking of upgrading my grills to like a 98-2000 look. not one of those all chrome ones that you can get off ebay. but these that i want are a little wider and have black grills and a chrome frame just like stock. so my question is has anyone done this or can it be done with little mod?- Thanks guys

hmmmm,

I was unable to open the enlarged view of that grille, but it seems to me that the picture is of a post-facelift e36 grille (which I think is the same used on the pre-facelift e46s). You will need to change your front nose panel for them to fit. EIther that or you get the ones on eBay that look post-facelift, but fit on pre-1997 cars.

from 96-99 the grills are different from earlier e36 years!

yeah. the grills that are on your bimmer Cruzin323, i want to put those on mine. i'm sure i'll prolly have to find a new nose panel piece. but all the ones i find on ebay are ALL chrome and kinda cheap looking.
