I just put did a conversion on my 98 M3. I found a E46 style front bumper on ebay from Aerodynamic Racing outa Japan. It took forever for them to ship it to me but it's nice now that it's here. However the E46 bumper is a lil wider than the E36 so it sticks out a lil on each side. Kinda looks like it was meant for a wide body kit. Reiger Racing is the only other place that i've seen those bumpers from tho. And they are all fiberglass. Look around and see if you can find somewhere that makes it outa poly urethane before u buy a fiberglass one.

Post some pics! I am really curious about the fitting...
Polyurathane bends, fiberglass shatters, cause well.... It's stiff glue impregnated with glass fibers. Is there another reason or is that one it?
Imagine hitting a curb or bottoming out when you go up a driveway... That will seriously F$*# up fiberglass, polyurathane will just get scratches and bend out of the way.... depending on how hard it's hit
Rocks....
Weight, maybe.
I thought about going with the e46 front bumper, but once I saw it on an e36 I realized it's just not right. It doesn't go with the rest of the body. It's too smooth and the body is rather sharp. I'd just go with the e36 m3 front bumper.

Wouldn't go with the e46 bumper? Hell no I wouldn't. The e36 looks damn good and so does the e46. However, I don't really think they look good together. I'd probably go with the M3 kit like dutchbmw said. It's guaranteed to look good, fits the car well, and won't be from an entirely similar, but quite different, model.
This is why you stick with e36 parts. Not to bash anyone but you can see how it doesn't look right.
