E36 won't start

Ok here's the scenario
Yesterday when I came back from work at six p.m, in the middle of the highway, I noted that the car reduces speed ,I immediately stopped aside, I was sure that the problem is not the battery because I bought it recently, and my friend checked the fuel pump and fuze.
.sometimes, When I want to run the engine it run , but When i press on my gas pedal the car shuts off itself


how do I fix It?
ANY POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS?

I would be looking at the MAF, you can removing it and clean the inside using carb cleaner 3 good blasts should suffice if that doesnt improve it then I would be saying the MAF has gone.

MAF = mass airflow sensor, found in the intake.
