Hey do any of guys know if an e36 m3 transmission can fit into a e36 328i ?

im not sure about 328i, but i know a 328is owner, he does lots of bmw research and says a 328is has the same gearbox as an e36 m3!!!! do some more research, and ulll find o ut

why would you want to though?

the tranny can handle the same amount of power as a 328 and has the same number of gears. Seems like a waste of money unless your original is blown and you found a cheap m3 to replace it.

yes I do have an automatic my old transmision needs to be replaced and all I can find are trannys for m3s anyway do any of you guys know about the output flange , and also can i use the one from my old tranny ? thanks
