E36's & Baby Seats

Hi,
Me and my wife are expecting our first child next year, and have been looking at getting a used E36 four door to replace my S10.
Has anybody ever used a baby seat in any?
I read on edmunds.com that it is a pain to get the car seat in and out, and to
attach the seat due to the placement of the seat belt anchors.
Any insight/past experience would be great!

i have fit my little cousins and their baby seats/booster seats on the back seats in my e36 4-door just fine its not much of a pain but if you have leather seats than put a towel under the seat so it doesnt mess it up but other than that everything should fit and shouldnt be too much of a hassle..

I have a volvo 850 wagon and just got a e36 328i 4 door. We have 2 car seats in both cars, no problem--a tad tight in the 328i if you put the seats side by side (middle and side), but still works fine. So, with 1-2 kidlets no problem. Yeay, not another mini-van or SUV road hog.

i have fit one in mine also... but dont think its going to be spacious back there for other people... and the seat its behind needs to move forward....
my suggestion is to get a nice e39....

Glad to see it will work out. We are both small/short so I dont think we should
have to adjust the seats much.
Yeah neither of us want a mini van, and are not interested in a suv.

mini vans are the spawn of SATAN! I shall NEVER EVER EVER drive a mini van I don't care if I had 8 kids (which wouldn't happen) I would never drive one!
