so i bought a 1992 325i (i dont know how to up load pics yet but i will shortly)
and ive ran in to a electrical problem.....
the windows work when they want to, the brake lights now dont work at all
and my obc is telling other errors that dont have problems.....
anyhow, i would love feed back and am lookinh forward to helping as well learning new things about this wonderful car.
I think you're looking for a loose connection on the window issue. About the brake lights, how are the fuses and brake light switch on the brake pedal?
Check the connectors at the tail light itself. Sometimes the connection between the sockets and the light assembly can be bad. I also think you could be looking for a loose wire on the window issue but, check the switches. If you just bought the car the switches could be intermittent.

ok so now this is the problem, i guess their telling me a comfort relay, bad actuator on my right window and that they have no idea why anything else would tell me weird things like "brake light out" Brake light circuit" and tail light out. all happens at random....
The problems with the windows seem to be related to the comfort relay -- this relay affects all the locks, windows, sunroof, central locking system, etc.
Regarding the false "light out" messages: check the tail light housing -- it is probably corroded at the contacts with the bulbs. A wire brush should help alleviate the problem.
