View Poll Results: How many miles do you have on your BMW
Hey all,
I just bought a 1993 325i with 93,000 miles. I was a little worried about long term durability and how long the engine would last, but the price was right and the test drive sold me. I would like to know the upper limits of the drivetrain, though. If anyone has something over 140,000 miles I would like to hear about it.
Thanks

About engines with 140k+ miles. Well, it is a BMW and made to last, but do not expect stuff not to go wrong after about 130k. The engine itself though if you do not ignore little problems such as overheating will still keep going when the chassis starts falling apart.
A friend of mine has an E30 324td with 645k on it. It does burn about a litre of oil for 1000 miles but it still run fine. It's not racing equippment but hey it is 645k miles.
You should be fine with yours for the next few years.

Have owned my car exactly a month now. I've already burned almost 1/2 a tank of fuel! Better slow down!
Uh, I've owned mine for less than a month, and I have burned 2 tanks easy....but then again, I'm that guy that drives to the gas station to get a coke when there is one in my fridge.
