e36 m3 for a e39 m5?!
so i have a 98 m3 sedan w/ 63,000 miles on it. some extras but i want to go faster. soooooo!!! i'm thinking about buying a 2001 - 2003 e39 m5 w/ 71,000 miles and dinan stage 1. what do you guys think???

now you know the answer to this question. m3 is awesome but doesnt hold a candle to the m5.

That or do the Active Autowerke twin screw supercharger for your M3. All depends on how much you want to pay.
Keep in mind maintenance on an M5 is no joke.

is an m5 always better than an m3, by better i really just mean faster?
i am aware that it'll have more 'functions' as its a 5 series. but are they always faster? im sure the new m3 is going to be faster then the e60 m5.
the e39 m5 was my favourite bmw for ages. it still probably is because it looks so much better than the new m5 imo.

Nox, I doubt whether the new M3 will be faster than the M5. Maybe from a dig, but 500 hp is no joke.
