E36 Front panel removal

hi.all.....i have a 1997 e36....does anybody know if i have to take the front bumper of to take the panel off, which holds the kidney grills,and goes round the headlights....many thanks.....Gary

right!...will it affect the airbag?

Huh? No, it will not. Why would it?

not sure.......someone said the airbag is somehow connected to the bumper.......don't want to get ripped off!....again!

Quick DIY:

1. Remove the front bumper
2. Remove headlights
3. Remove kidney grille
4. Remove the front panel retaining screws on either side of the radiator (you may want to remove the airbox to get to the screw on the left).
5. Remove the retaining screws on the top (near hood latches)
6. Remove the screws far on each end of the front panel (you will have to do this from undeneath the car).
7. You're done
