E36 or E46

Hi All,

I have just purchased a BMW 323ci 1999.
I guess this is a question you have been asked a lot but would be grateful if you could help me out.
When I got insurance quote it came up as 323 ci coupe auto 2494cc 1999-2000.
Is it a E36 or E46 ?
Its difficult for me to tell as it has got body kit on (M Aerodynamics I think)
It was registered on 02/03/99 if that helps, also, has ///M on door trim but think that is just part of body kit.

Anyway, any advice much appreciated

P.S. Can't believe how good it is, best car I have ever had, very fast !!!

Just found pic of beamer that is virtually identical to mine, can you verify it is E36.

I have that car ... 1998 328i, definatly e36, has the exact rims/body.
