E36 Driver Side Door

I have a '96 318i, 4 door, and my driver's side door doesn't unlock when I unlock the doors most of the time either with the keyless or the button inside. I said sometimes because sometimes it'll unlock and lock. Yesterday though I unlocked it and the pin didn't come up, so I pulled the pin up and it didn't unlock even though I pulled the pin up, it would go up and down freely. I had to get in through the passenger side door, kind of embarrasing. But then today, I was able to unlock it fine, and it locked back too, with the keyless entry. What part do I need or may need to look at in order to fix this? Also, if anyone can point me to a good site to get such a part that I'd need, let me know that.

Any ideas? it might be something fairly simple... I don't want to pay the dealer to do something that's simple and get charged alot for it... any help would be great

I got the same problem with my '96 328.
I think it's the actuator.
Should be pretty easy to fix but I don't know how much a new one costs.
