Question Which e36 coupe's have single / twin exhausts?

I'm looking to buy a new aftermarket back box for my e36 coupe.

I've seen one I like and it comes in 2 versions. One for 316/318 and one for 320/325.

My car is 320i and has a single pipe going to the back box.

Doesn't a 325 have 2 pipes? or am I thinking 328/m3?

If not why is there a different version for a 316/318 than the one for 320/325?

Its mail order so I don't want to order the wrong one.

many thanks if u can help

325's, 328's, and M3's all have the dual pipe going back. The 323's, 320's, and 318's have a single pipe.

thanks! just ordered one.

since the backbox is a aftermarket one, i have to cut the existing pipe just before it enters the back box so I can fit my new one.

Does anyone know how hard this is?

I suppose I'll have buy a fitting kit with a flexible steel hose too.
