| E36 Convertible roof not working
Might be of use to any E36 convertible owners out there who's roof has packed up on them ! My roof was working fine, then just totally stopped working, even the windows didn't drop before the roof opening cycle, checked all fuses (ok) there are several that protect the roof electrics including one in the boot near the battery, had visions of expensive motors and control relays, but a friend who is a BMW tech suggested checking out the boot micro switch (in boot lock assembly) which turned out to be damaged, was easy to replace, just waiting now for some sun !!! |
