I am interested in getting automatic climate control, or at the least digital climate control, for my 93 325is. What would need to be replaced, and how hard would it be? Can someone give me either a link to a FAQ or outline the steps that I need to take to get this done?

Thanks in advance!!

And it's not a great idea. It was something my mechanic specifically warned me about when I told him I was hunting for an e36. "Failure prone, and expensive to fix." The analog system isn't perfect, but more reliable.

To those of you who have them, good luck. Hope it works forever.

Humm crap. See, the reason I want to do this is because I have to replace what I have now, as the damned thing is dead. The fan speed works, and it can change air position, but cold air is always on, and if you have the AC on and turn it to "feet" it gets HOT. Like, 100F+ hot. Damned hot.

Perhaps there would be a better fix for this, but I dig the digital controls as I have (Will have next weekend, that is) a 7" touch screen in my dash.. I thought digital controls would acent it well, haveing the trip computer as well as the digital climate..

El Presidente - Where would one (me) look to get the parts? Is there a DIY guide?
