E36 325i Wont Start. HELPPP

Hey guys, I've got a 95 e36 325i coupe which recently lost all fuel due to the fuel pump hose coming off somehow, luckily i was near home.. anyway I reattached the fuel hose with a new clamp, put plenty of fuel in and now it wont start.. it sounds like it wants to start but just cant quite get there..

I've noticed no noise coming from the fuel pump when ignitions on, checked fuse 18 which is fine

I'm buying a new pump this weekend I've read several threads on how to replace seems easy enough..

Could it possibly be fuel pump overloading due to lack of fuel and/or tank debris blocking the pump?

Has anybody had a similar problem? I know e36's are prone to fuel sending problems

Any help would be great, I've been catching buses and trains to work NOT FUN.

The new pump is likely to solve the issue. You might wanna change the filter too.
