E36 325i Gearbox help! What is compatible..

HI..

My 325i has just lost 2nd gear and the thrust/throwout bearing in the same week. Am looking for a replacement gearbox, but i tseems hard to come by a 325i gearbox.

My question is which ones are compatible from other cars?
There are a few 318i gearboxes on ebay.. would they fit?

Mine is a 'GETRAG' (not ZF) Box, and it has the numbers 220.0.022.0225.96 / 012 225. Not sure if that is the model number.

According to the Bentley, 318 build dates after 9/92 used the same transmission as the 325. If you can verify manufacture dates, there should be no problem. the earlier 318 trannies will also fit, but not as strong.

Can i ask who or what 'The Bentley' is? Another forum user or something else?
Just want to get as much info as possible.. as its gonna cost if i get the wrong box delivered

Ok. worked it out. Its a manual.
I'm going to try and get an electronic version to have a look
