Hi, I have a '92 4DR e36 325i and I am looking to upgrade my exhaust. Will a '97 m3 coupe's exhaust (from the cat's back) be a exact fit. Is the bolt pattern the same? Is it the same length and does it use the same hanger set up? If anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

It should fit.
I swapped a 98 M3 exhaust to my 96 328 sedan...no problems.

How is the sound from the M exhaust? I have a chance to get a brand new 98 M exhaust for real cheap..Do you recommend?

the m3 exhaust sounds more sporty than the non m 3's but is much more subdued than most aftermarket exhausts.

Yeah I can get one for cheap. Anyone have a video of a 325i, or even an m3 with an e36 m3 catback? Just wondering how much of a difference there was because I need to let the person know soon so I can still buy it.

Yeah, I really like the sound...not too loud.
Performance wise it doesn't increase HP or torque all that much.
