E36 320i in USA????????

does anybody know if the 1992 E36 320i was sold in the states???
i need some description of this engine ....how many HP's????

As far as I know, no it wasn't.

The 320i has 150 HP and only sold in Europe.

nope, i dont believe a 320i was sold in the states. we had the 318 which became a 1.9l and had 140hp, then it went right to the 323.

I remember seeing a table somewhere with all the engines and their power etc. I own a 1996 320i (New Zealand) but not sure about the specs of the engine.

By the way, I *LOVE* my BMW. I used to own a 1996 Audi A4 2.6 until it got totalled, and the 320i is the replacement. Boy is it a fun car to drive!!! <grin>

Also sold in Australia, I think I have one of the first to be built as my build date on the car is July '91. Not sure of how many ponies it has.

Hey Guys,

I'm in Ontario Canada and am driving a '94 - 320i - US specs. The manual says it produces 148 hp at 5900 rpm and 140 ft/lb of torque at 4200 rpm. You can't even find the bloody car listed in many places, even the dealership ignores to list the 320i, they go from 318 straight to 325i!!!.

Let me know if you need any more info from the manual etc.

first theres a 320 up in BC canada about 25 min away from here second turboedfrost i live in bham too, and was actaully thinking about buying that car as soon as i saw your sig i went to see where you lived and it said Bellingham! You bought that car down in Mt vernon huh? Its nice iwent and looked at it! Nice buy! well we should meet up sometime! since we live so close!
