Hi, My 94 320 coupe has a problem with the fuel gauge..
Even with a full tank of fuel the gauge points to zero with the reserve light on??

Can anyone suggest how i could fix this?

Your help is much appreciated!!

Best Regards

worst case the floater has broken, best case the wire attached to it is bad. Also check the fuse.

Fuse means often short-circuit = wiring or floater
Damaged gauge
Damaged floater

Hehe, you said "floater".

If the preceding doesn't fix it, maybe a bad connection to the gauges.

or perhaps you had the keys in the ignition while filling-up. This happened to me -- it would register correct and then peg at zero with the warning light on. After a while it goes correct but this kept on for weeks. Always take key out before filling. Is your problem constant or intermittant?
