e36 318ti (compact) idle and drive problem

i have a 1999 european 318ti compact with the m44 engine all was ok running wise but then one day i switched the engine off and started it again the idle was very ropey and chugged up to higher revs and there was a loss off power when i put my foot down it eventually builds up speed although if i ease off the gas and progressivly put my foot down it picks up a bit quicker ....... i have cleaned and replaced plugs replaced injectors ignition coil maf and lambda (these all being suggestions from people who "know" more about cars than me im at witts end now and could seriously do with some help can anybody suggest the next course of action i should take ?

Hi Ben.... Maybe remove the TB (throttle-body) and give that a good clean, Throttle Position Sensor may be the issue matey...
Do you have any messages on the dash, or any error codes?
