E36 3 series 2 dr coupe - interior help!!

hey...

trying to get the roof lining out of my car so that i can get it re-trimmed and the sunroof serviced etc...

the little spring loaded handle things that fold down from the side of the roof (commonly known as "jesus handles") are giving me a bit of grief...

please would one of you people of wisdom assist me and tell me how you actually get them out from the roof so i can get the lining out... they're stopping it from coming out... there's no screws or anything.. so its got me a bit stumped :P

The left side and right side have a clip as wide as your thumb... you can unclip them and... tadaa.. you see a screw

yea... i know about the clips.... i only had them on the drivers side at front without any handle...

however on the passenger front and each side in rear i have the spring loaded handles that pull down from the roof and then fold back up to the roof... i cant manage to get those off...

my apologies!!! i went out in daylight and checked out exactly what you meant... and there it was staring at me in the face the little clips that come out...

thanks for your help vince318i.... got any tips for pulling parcel shelfs out as well ??
