e36 1996 328i touring suspension change

for some time now i've put up with having my fillings shaken out by the hideous suspension on my car. what i want to know is what suspension from other models, springs shocks an' all, will DEFINATELY fit on my car without problems. looked on the bmw oem website site and it does give different codes for different models. is this just for intended use (ie the 328 coupe has sportier suspension than a 320? )

TBH (and I could be corrected) I think the running gear is identical to the saloon, just the body shape differences !!

i wasn't sure. so many different codes etc. it's more the front really. the rear isnt too bad. i'm guessing stick to the 6-cylinder motored cars and fingers crossed eh.

I know the front is deffo identical, and 90% sure the rear is too !! I worked on the "5" Tourer and they are identical... Just the extras that confuse me sometimes LOL
