driveshaft flex joint

does anyone know whether or not i have to lower my cat converter to change the driveshaft flex joint for a 94 325i convertible?

the cat is all the way from exhaust manifold to muffler joints (the piping i mean)

i had to take it down before when i wanted to check the whole driveshaft

The flex disc (guibo) can be done, but you would need 2 people. We kept the cats (midpipe) on when we did it on my friends e30 vert, but one of us had to pull down on them enough to get the driveshaft underneath them. For my 325 I took the midpipe off, makes it a lot easier especially if you are doing the job yourself.
