Driver Side Window Problem

For awile my window would stop when it was going up, but it didnt happen very offten. After it would stop i could press the botton agian and it would continue to go up. Just recently it stoped and wouldnt go up and then once i got it to go back up it would go down then up then down. Now i dont dare to roll it down. Now when i close the door and it goes up into the top of the door it goes up then down then up...etc. Sometimes it does it for a minute and other times it does it for awile. it even will do it while im driving. SO whe took my door panel off and its not the motor. ITs not the switch either because its new. So it could either be the relay or a controller module thing that goes under the glove box near the cabin filiter. I found out that part isnt cheap and the bmw shop has to code it for my car to get it to work.

I want to know if anyone has had this problem or has heard of someone having it. Also what fixes it because i would prefer not to buy the controller module thing if i dont have to.

Sounds like it could be the Relay module or Body Electronics Module, (depending on year) which receives all the data signals, including power window switches and door lock position, etc.

Is that the part thats located under the dash and needs to be coded for each car?

i have the same problem but with the passenger side. i just tap the button everytime it gets stuck.

I need to figure out what it is and fix it...my window has been going crazy lately. When ever i close the door it keeps going up and down.... used
