I believe you have to hold the key all the way in the locking direction. If you don't turn it far enough it won't double lock.

I've tried lots of ways to try and activate it, and it works on all doors execpt the driver's door.
It's odd that it is doing this because the door lock works fine, power locks and unlocks, just not the double lock
keep the damn kid in the car when you get the grocierys. keep him there with the dog.... and also if a theif breaks the window to get in he still will have to crawl in and out of it until the car is parted out...
Check order and be sure its all in the right order and such.
when I test drove my car we bumped into a locking problem it was just a matter of doing it in the proper order. But test driving isnt a normal situation so some doors open others closed turnk open. Keys at the trunk. But doors not locking from the doors...
I think the back door was open I wanted back into the driver seat after the doors had been locked from the outside. I couldn't get the drivers door to open even from the inside (because of the double locking). The passenger side lock sometimes sticks or the door was open so we were someohow able to get back in that side but we used the key and figured it out eventauly... it was all just a matter of process... damn safty/anti-theft features.
