door locking automatically - BMW Forum

Strange things happens now on my 321 Cabrio (1997 model).

The doors lock automatically on both doors as we drive. Does not seem related to any speed or bumps. It's not the remote control because even when I remove that battery the doors lock. Not a big deal but I am wondering what triggers it. Anybody any idea?

I think you have the program set for door locking after u hit 8mph, Dealer can reprogram it for you for a few bucks and then they wont lock.

I don't think so, first of all it never did it before and it certainly does not happen at a set speed.

Oh ok
Then u prolly have something realted to ur alarm/receiver that control the central locking.

u should have it checked at a store which installs car security alarms and stuff.
