Door lock rod falls off

I have a 94 325i sedan, someone used a slim jim to break in and steal my $0.63 and phone charger. Now my lock rod from the outside door lock to the latch assembly keeps falling off and I can't lock/unlock my doors. I think I just need the little plastic retainer on the lock but I don't know what it's called or where to buy it.

Also I have a factory BMW security system but lost the transmitter a few years ago, where can I get another one?

Where are you located?

Here is a diagram to the door lock assembly showing the part number.
Door control, front BMW 3' E36, 325i (M50) ? BMW parts catalog

You can find the door lock assembly at or You can also search by part number for the part that you need. Without pictures its hard to tell you what is required.

As for the alarm fob, they stopped making them years ago. Only way to get one now is to buy one off ebay. Im in the same boat as i lost mine and dont know where.
