hey guys, my car(92 325i) has no alarm, so when i lock the doors manually( push them down) they pop back up! then i push em down 2nd time, they stay locked, same goes for when i lock from the outside, unlocking no prob, locking is wierd, any info would be much appreciated...
i would suspect one of your front-door (master) lock actuators. you may have to open your front door trims and check on the linkage of the actuator to the car locks. it may be loose. it should be set in a way that when it is locked the actuator's link goes all the way inside (or the reverse). if the link stops halfway, it bounces back open.
i dont know if i am making enough sense,,,, ill try to get some illustrations.
it says that if the central locking system unlocks itself after being locked or locks itself after being unlocked, the actuators could be defective or the trunk lock may need to be adjusted.

Solution, lock the doors from the outside or hold the lock down for a few seconds.
i am not quite sure about this.... if the problem is just the adjustment of the locks where the actuator rod is linked, forcing it down might just wear your actuators (bigger problem).
