hi everybody,
i jus bought at 92' 325i and the inside driver side door panel is loose. i.e the clips that holds it to the door are broken... i bought some replacement clips from the dealer but can't seeem to get the old ones out... jus afraid that if i yank them out, i might jus rip the hole and worsen the situation... any tricks/ideas to remove them and put the new ones back on?
thanks for your help...
I have the same problem. I bought a bunch of door panel clips because I couldn't get them to hold. I have gotten one out sucessfully and there is no way it could come out alive. I had to break the whole backing on the clip but the door panel seems to be fine. I don't know, I need some help with this too
Hey guys,
This one of those rare times where you dont mind going to the dealer. those clips are like .20 each. go to the dealer, buy like ten clips or so. then when you have your door panel off, use a side cutter (like pliers but for cutting wire), or even a linesman pliers and just cut the messed up one off. then re insert the new ones. Much easier than struggling with the old ones and cutting your hands up
yeah, i bought a bunch of them.. they were $1 a piece... now the problem i m facing is removing the whole door panel inside... mine is not compeletely detached... in other words, some of the clips are still holding the panel to the door.. are there any screws that needs to be taken out and how do i get the whole door panel off without breakin the door handle or anything else?

yeah htis is a relly common problem i bought the clips for 5cents a peice! so im th inking im going to start to sell them on ebay for cheaper than everyone else but sitll make bank! but yeah needle nose plyerss thats all i can say! its not that hard but takes mad time, new clips high addesive etc

if yours is as bad as mine was, then the door panel should pretty much being falling off everytime you close it, all you do is take the clip off from around the door handle (inside) and put it out and then up over your lock lever, and its off! then you glue the two peices of the panel back together, put new clips it (after the glue dried) and put it back on put the door clip back on by thehandle to keep it goether and you are in business, if you door clip is broken or you dont have one it wont hold, and you will need to buy one asap!
lol...
the C did mean cents... i figured 25c was the fair price since it would b a buck or two to ship it... so the total for 20 clips would come out to about 7 bucks... still cheaper than $20 i would pay at the dealer... or at bavauto... and a 400% profit margin for u is not bad i think... hahaha
