Since I recently took up learning how to paint, I wanted to take my old stock rims to black. I know the best way would be to powder coat them but the only time I use these are during the winter so the quality of them isn't real important. Anyone think there would be something special about painting rims?

so far I've painted a m3 spoiler (which I need to apply clear coat to) and my hood which turned out great. So I don't have a ton of experience, but I'm slowly learning...

why would u paint them, if u only use them in the winter??? then u'd have to wax them???

they get covered in shit during the winter and I thought at least for the winter, the car wouldn't look toooo bad with something diff other then stock wheels :P

Just shoot them with a single stage paint and you'll be good to go.

that's what I was thinking... I'll do it this weekend and post pics of how it turned out :P I have to get my current rims re powder coated.. I had a little accident with the castrol degreaser the other day...
