| Does this sound like manual transmission or linkage issue?
I have a 98 323 5-speed that ran GREAT for about 250 miles. Then, I was rolling backwards out of my driveway and I had the clutch in and I was trying to get it into reverse. I just rolled it backwards, stopped and put it into first and then drove forward BUT it wouldn't go into any othe gear but first and third. The other thing I noticed is that I couldn't put the car in neutral, either.
Car is in the shop right now but not looked at, yet. I test drove the car pretty well and put 250 miles on it from time of purchase. I am wondering if I screwed something up by rolling backwards and trying to get into reverse. |
