It may very well work in the sense of grounding capabilities, but ground wires are not gonna gain you and horsepower.

I didnt read that acticle but im assuming from what you guys are saying its an article on grounding the electrical systems, or the muffler, or the cat. You can make fun of this but in some cars this actually DOES work. Im not sure about BMWs but cars like VW golfs and DSMs have very weak and sometimes faulty grounding. This effects the cat and the o2 sensors and various schenanigans and does effect output, not so much of horsepower but of fuel efficiency, so you can kinda say your hp went up because your gas useage goes down... if you get what im saying...

not to be argumentative, but i'm sure in "some cars" a lot of stuff would help out. If you would have read the contents of the auction, you would have seen that it states an instant 6=8hp gain. Sorry, but on an e36, your not gonna get that.
BMW cars exhibit a pretty high level of engineering (better than most) and that is what i was joking about. I have never experienced ground fault errors in any of my Bimmers and due to their design i don't anticipate such.
Aluminum isn't very conductive compaired to copper. and why is it red? exactly?
Hey Nissan uses the same number of ground points as BMW! So does Toyota, And Subaru... Facinating!
the point is that some cars dont have adaquate grounding and older cars no longer have adaquite grounding after wires have corroded or people have said, hey this wire does nothing, imma take it off. I was just offering the explanation on what it does.

its a very common practice like Fox said for jap cars to be upgraded for better grounding. your electical system will benifit quite a lot, especially those with upgraded sound systems in their cars. the HP gain is really kinda iffy, i have yet to read or see any dynographs proving these claims
For the price its not a bad item to get, but don't expect a faster car.

The HP thing is BS. Aluminum is not nearly as coductive as copper. I have absolutely no idea why it would be aluminum. I would think that the aluminum alone wouldn't allow for ANY improvement at all. Why the HELL is it red anyway? I would save the 20 bucks and invest in something I know works.
