I live in Canada and my 328 has drl (daytime running lights).
Is it true that I have to disable them when installing HID?
Anyone have any experience with this?
If I do have to do this I heard that I can just replace the drl relay with the US relay (non drl). Is this true?
A little help please before I drop $1000 on HID.

I'm sur ethis has been posted here before! I see this question alot. But check FAQs or search it.

As a matter of FAQ! (no pun...) there is a link somewhere about installing DRLs on a car without them and I remember a discussion about the effects of DRL and other things combined.

If I not mistaken, the DRls run a low current though the highbeam, not the lowbeam. If thats the case, then its fine and you won;t need to.

I did do a search and found nothing.
The drl does work off the high beam, not the low beam.
Low beam is only used for night driving.

you fine then. The only reason you'd need to change the relay is if you add HID highs too, which would be like, woah.
