why do all the on board computers brake down, there are few that still work... are they worth geting fixed and what exactly do that do b/c the car i am getting the computer only tells the time now...
I don't think "most" break down. Mine works fine, the Bimmer I had before this one had a computer that worked fine, and all my friends that have them don't have any problems either.
If you are referring to cars found on used car lots, I would imagine that the onboard computer isn't the only thing that no longer works. Most of those cars are used up, and have been neglected.
whats the difference if you have a car that you kept for 10 years or a car that you buy thats 10 years old car on a used lot its the same shit,if you computer is going to brake it going to brake it not going to brake just because its on a used lot, and all i heard is that alot of them brake down, and mine just seems to tell the time, i havent had a chance to take a good look at it b/c i dont pick up my car till the summer...
