I just bought 1998 323 is.On the dash you can barely see the digital numbers for the milage. They are like faded.Same thing is on my radio display, basically you cannot see anything. Is there any idea or advice how to fix them.Is there any replaceable bulb in there.
the bulbs in the guage cluster and behind the HVAC controls can be replaced easy enough, but the LCD display for the radio, computer and odometer cannot.
i've heard good things about these folks though: click here
I've only had dimming in my OBC but I've also heard that the lcd display can burn out as well...and just like jllphan said it can't be replaced. All you have to do is remove the front panel on the OBC or the gauge cluster...and you can easily see the dead bulbs from there.
Actually i pulled the cluster out the other day and i found that there were two
little bulbs right behind the milage LCD.I replaced them and here we go the numbers were as bright as the first day.
So keep in mind guys if you have faded odometer LCD lights you can fix it.....
