I thought of something that'd be really cool, and might already exist (I hope)...

Is there such a mod where you replace your instrument cluster with a lcd digital cluster? Like where you completely remove your instrument cluster and the entire space is filled with a big lcd? Maybe some nice extra features like warning indicators that actually tell you the problem (words) rather than just an obscure symbol, or timing programs built in. Hell, that'd be the perfect place for gps to be too... tap a custom button down in front of the shifter (beside the start button I just installed) and it changes the view of the screen. Maybe the RPMs dial (auto car) is replaced with a small GPS screen. Or even a digital radar detector built in.

Okay those last things might be a bit extreme, but it'd still be cool just to have a screen there for your speed and rpms and stuff (kinda like a video game hud). Anyone ever heard of this before?

(I bet the cars of the future will be like that)

There is a companie out of the Greater Toronto Area that can replace your cluster with LCD monitors. They use a special software that will display your speed, rpm etc in different formats. Looks awesome, but not cheap. I'll try to find the info for you and post it.

There is also a DVD H/U that when idle can display 3 or 4 gauges of data too.

Its from Panasonic or Pioneer, I think?

Yeah, I've seen the hu's, but if the actual instrumentation cluster was digital, that'd be sexy. If you can get me any info, I'd appriciate it.
