chr328is is an unknown quantity at this point
does anybody know if they changed the 328 motors (I think its either a m52 or a s52 but anyway) from 1996-1999. I think in 99 the motor may be different, because it is the e46 chasis code, but I'm not sure. But from 1996-98, for the e36 328, does anyone know if the motors are different?????????? used

THe 96-99 are OBDII meaning they have a different ECU which is more restrictive... I am not sure what mechanical differences there are though... Guess I'm not that much help here... But i know for the 318i they bored it out to 1.9L to make up for the more restrictive ECU... Hopefully some one will enlighten us as to the mechanical differences is any for the 328i...

the s52 is the e36 m3 motor. there is someone on here w/ a 99 328is, i highly doubt that the motor would be anydifferent m52. especially if they made an 2000 e46 328i. im sure its the same engine, then a year later they came out w/ the 330! always bigger and better u know lol
