differances 325i vs 325is or 328

Im just curious what the differances are between the I and Is models?

I= 4doors= sedan
IS= 2 doors= coupe

but 325 is a 2.5litre engine and a 328 is a 2.8litre engine.

sorry but you are wrong. The s stands for sport. You get sport suspension and low gear ratio. There are other options and it depends on the car and what the original owner chose to have.

i own a 325 sedan, 325i as it is badged, i have the sport package (16"s, suspension etc) and it isn't badged 325is. S = coupe, C = convertible I = sedan.
i'll post a pic of my badge for you when i get home.

i think my statement is correct. like stated above when was the last time you saw a 4 door IS and as far as i know not all coupes came with sport suspension it was an option. so in that case not all 2 door e36s would come with the "IS" badging.

for instance my car came out of the factory with Mtech suspension and i still have IS on the back of my car.
