Hi

I have a starting problem with my BMW

When the engine is cold or parked overnight, the glowplug lights go out (2-3 seconds) fine but I have to try the ignition 2-3 times before the car will actually start

In other words the car wont turn over first time

After the 2-3 time I have to hit the throttle for the car to start

I have had the glowplugs changed and the fuel pump in the tank changed rently too and I am still having the same problem

Apart from the starting issue the car drives fine, no blue smoke/turbo lag or lack of performance/accelaration

Has any one had the same problem and if so how do you rectify it

Thanks

Are the 2-3 seconds normal or was it longer than that before you've getting trouble?
