Deer Destroyed my Mirror, where to find OEM Mirror... - BMW Forum

Well im driving to my girlfriends house and a deer pops out in front of me
long story short the deer literally jumped over my car and its foot hit my side mirror (drivers side) and i need a new one, its completely destroyed... where shall i look to find another OEM mirror (bavauto doenst have it for some reason)

and also.. how do you install mirrors, i can't figure out how its adhered to the door...

... im so damn lucky that deer didnt destory my 3er..

You take off the plastic triangular cover inside your car (on the inside of where your mirror is stuck to your car). I think there's a foam insulator in there that you just pull back. Then there are 3 screws you need to undo...

Once these are undone, the mirror could fall off the outside, so I suggest doing this with the window down and door open so you can use one hand for screwdriver and one hand for holding mirror.

Then there's a simple plug or two for power/heat that just pop in/out.

Regarding purchasing the part; I would think it's cheaper to buy a mirror from someone used (someone who may have upgraded to M3) and then have it painted your colour...

pelican didn't have it.. and .. how do i tell if i ahve heated mirrors.. is it standard? because i keep finding the option between heated and non heated oem mirrors
