Deciding on a 95 318 Hatchback need opinion

Hello All,

Looking for advice. I'm looking for a second hand BMW and came across a 1995 318 hatchback 5 speed. It has 135,000 miles. Its selling for $2400. The owner told me that the car is in excellent running condition and the clutch is still strong. The only thing he said that is wrong with the car is that the passenger side window does not work. A few questions I have is, is this a relatively an inexpensive fix and what other questions should I ask regarding any maintence replacement? Like with older Honda's buyers tend to ask if the car ever had the timing belt replace along with the water pump. Any advice or concerns you can add would be greatly appreciated. i have a 98 318i and when i bought it it had 130000 and i paid 6800 for it its a nice little car because its fun and gets really good gas milage. i donk know what you are looking for in the car but that would be a great daily driver for anyone. 2400 is a really good price. if you looking for performance 318 is not it unless you get a turbo.
The vindow fix is not that expencive if you will do work yourself but if you take it to a dealer youre looking around 600. these cars have timing chain so you dont have to worry about it. my advice to you is before you buy it take it to a mechanic and have them diagnose everything it would be around $90. That would save you alot of money later on. if you have any questions feel free to ask...
