Dead Door Lock/handle, Need Advice.

I have a '94 325 and I recently had a problem with my rear driver side door lock no longer working. It worked yesterday, but today I turned my key in the drivers door expecting it to open all 4 door locks and it only opened three. I tried to manually pull up the door lock on the rear door but that didn't work either. So now I can even open the door. Any words of wisdom or advice on how to fix it??

lock and unlock it a few time and see if it will open. then you may want to replace the acuator.

Well, I tried that, but it doesn't work. The handle and the locking mechanism seem to both be dead. I can't unlock it manually...
