it simply needs the replacement of the high beam relay to a daytime running lights module and a couple of tappings. my vegas dealer sells it for $108++, bavauto $80+....
ugh, why would u want DRL's.. i think they are pointless, and i think it looks stupid.. what do u need your headlights on during the day for?? but thats my oppinion...
Hmmmm......where do I start with this one.......the first piont is you can't waste battery power, you have an alternator.....next point on it looking stupid, in Canada everybody with a car built after 91 has DRL, so those without....well quite frankly, they look odd. :P And in all countries that have adopted DRL, it has reduced accidents (people see you before they pull out in front of you or cut you off). Anything that stops some clown from hitting my ride is great by me. And one more bonus.....on the highway, those people that wait until the last second to pull right as I'm screaming up behind them, see me coming up in thier rear view mirror much sooner. Oh and one last thing, all those people that forget to turn on headlights at dusk, well they aren't a problem anymore. That's my 2 bits on the topic. It's to the point that I now automatically turn on my headlights on my 78 911sc just out of habit and probable nessessity. Thanks for letting me vent on that topic.....and as far as you getting them installed......go for it
DRLs offer safety measures to certain extent far more than demon eyes. admittedly though the latter might look more fashionable. also, it uses just a tiny fraction of current on your high beams (which is not usually in use even during the night), hence does not adversely affect your other electrical/electronic functions, of course, that is, with your functional alternator and batteries.
as for having it looking stupid you say? well, what can i say, that's what you think...
