So today I went nuts. I finished fixing all my little LEDs and I finally said "I'm going to remove that stupid silver box that went with the CD changer"

Long story short, I snipped the antenna to my CD deck. I was told by an undisclosed source (you know who you are, no hard feelings, I like projects :P ) that snipping the wires would be just fine. Well I didn't think when I did it because the signal from the antenna runs through the box then too the deck.

I figure I need to take the dash appart to access the wires at the back of the deck. Somebody will instal stuff for a cd deck want to post their info for taking apart the dash, I would really apreciate it

Kevin

Do I even need to take anything on the dash off, or can I just get the deck out somehow?

All you're doing is removing the HU?

All you have to do to take out the factory HU is flip open the two flaps on the sides, and stick an 8mm allen wrench in there.

I've got a Pioneer deck. Looks like if I yank on it it'll come out. Sound about right?

Look up the instruction manual on the head unit, it should say where the screws are, if any. I wouldn't just yank on it, otherwise someone could steal it just by pulling on it...

If its an aftermarket pioneer, then there should be some kind of retaining pin you can pop out of place and pull the unit forward. To access the pins, you'll need to remove the face or flip the face down, depending on the model.

Wups I just yanked it out :P There was just like every single clip on the braket bent up to hold it. So I was like "KEVIN ANGRY" and removed it in one pull, not really.

Now onto painting my guages red.
