dash lights appear while driving

hey i have just brought an 318 is 1994, and i am finding problem after problem, b4 i send it to be fixed i wanna get all the faults i can sorted on the car. first problem is when driving the dash lights comes on then switch off again every symbol lights up abs, eng man, air bag even the service light indicator. the lights on the heater settings does'nt work? any ideas many thanks jonny
